Martina Children’s Hospital is the largest private healthcare provider in pediatric care in Stockholm
Martina Children’s Hospital started as an emergency department at Sophiahemmet in 2008 and has since expanded with more clinics and specialist areas.
Martina is now located in several places around Stockholm, with the largest unit at Sophiahemmet, where our emergency department for members is located. Our team includes pediatric specialists with expertise in most areas, including mental health, speech therapy, and orthopedics for both children and adults.
All of our pediatric and adolescent medical clinics and child health centers have healthcare agreements with Region Stockholm. Martina also offers care that is not included in agreements with the Region.
Our vision is to provide the best possible care, accessible to everyone, with most specialist competencies gathered under one roof.
Collaborate with Martina Children’s Hospital
We have had a successful collaboration with Astrid Lindgren’s Children’s Hospital to provide relief during the pandemic, as well as several collaborations with other regions in the country where we perform pediatric surgical operations. Martina Children’s Hospital also has a close partnership with Pysslingen Preschools to enhance knowledge about children’s health among over 3,000 educators at 110 preschools across Sweden.

We see a growing need for entirely private alternatives alongside regionally driven healthcare. Regionally driven healthcare often has limited resources. This is one of the reasons we constantly gain new members for our easy-access emergency department. Naturally, it is also due to the high-quality care that Martina offers with appointment scheduling and short waiting times. The regionally funded healthcare combined with the private options we offer means we have everything gathered ‘under one roof,’ and that feels really good!
